DSQ (Dead Soft Quality) sheets and plates are low-carbon steel items of high machinability, formability, and weldability. They contain a chemical composition composed of carbon (≤ 0.20%), manganese (≤ 0.50%), phosphorus (≤ 0.04%), and sulfur (≤ 0.04%) for the purpose of having enhanced superior formability. DSQ plates possess tensile strength (300–450 MPa), yield strength (250 MPa min), and elongation (23% min) mechanically and are suitable for fabrication and structural applications. Their ductile-tough properties position them to use in pressure vessels, heavy machineries, and overall general engineering use.
