ASTM A204 Grade B plates and sheets are molybdenum-alloy steel with chemical composition Carbon (0.20-0.25%), Manganese (0.90% max), Phosphorus (0.035% max), Sulfur (0.035% max), Silicon (0.10-0.35%), and Molybdenum (0.45-0.60%). Plates of these show excellent mechanical properties with tensile strength of 515-690 MPa, minimum yield strength of 310 MPa, and minimum elongation of 17%.
