Carbon Steel EN-31 Bars contain predominantly carbon, manganese, silicon, chromium, and minor sulfur and phosphorus. The composition of the normal chemical consists of 0.90-1.10% carbon, 0.30-0.50% manganese, and 0.80-1.10% chromium, and they are responsible for the hardness along with the resistance to wear of the material. The mechanical specifications are high tensile strength between 850-1000 MPa, fine hardness (58-63 HRC), and good fatigue, and hence suitable for heavy usage.
