Carbon Steel EN-1A Bars have a composition mainly made up of carbon (0.12–0.18%), manganese (0.50–0.80%), phosphorus (max 0.04%), and sulfur (max 0.05%). The alloy is highly machinable and has a smooth surface finish. Mechanical properties are tensile strength in the range 370–490 MPa and yield strength around 190 MPa.
